Underground Coal Gasification

Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) has the potential to provide a clean and convenient source of energy from coal seams where traditional mining methods are either impossible or uneconomical. This one day conference will be looking at directional drilling techniques, wellbore stability, environment and regulatory issues which are all topics very closely related to CCS, which allows for easier CCS. This new technology is being seen as one of the most environmentally friendly options to meet carbon targets and at the same time increase energy production.
