As the first major hydrocarbon-producing nation to take such a step, it has established its leadership position by launching our client’s operating platform, a global cooperative platform for open engagement in the search for solutions to some of mankind’s most pressing issues: energy security, climate change and truly sustainable human development.
Below are the roles:
1. Project Delivery Manager
Role Purpose
* To be a key member on one of the company’s CM Business Unit.
This BU is accountable for executing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of upstream projects, specifically related to Carbon Capture & Storage.
* To lead, direct and coordinate the project contractors to
deliver the specific requirements of a particular project stage working where appropriate, with a support of a Project Management Consultant (PMC).
Experience
10 -15 years experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry focusing on the project management activities on a wide range of projects from pre FEED through EPC into operations, preferably with both operators and contractors.
2. Engineering Manager
Role Purpose
The Engineering Manager is responsible for development and execution of the Technical, Engineering and Technology aspects of the project.
Technology Engineering & Technology Definition
* Control the scope of the Project through definition of, and
adherence to, the Project codes and standards, Statement of Requirements
(SoR) and Basis of Design (BoD) and through direct monitoring and approval of engineering deliverables
* Ensure that the requirements of the Scope of Work, FEED and
other related Contract documents are understood and adhered to by engineering contractors
* Ensure that the facilities design complies with all statutory
requirements and Stakeholder expectations
* Supervise the Contractor’s execution of the field engineering
and construction of the project, ensuring all design safety, technical integrity and quality issues are properly resolved, that design changes are managed correctly, and that the plant complies with all statutory requirements and meets Stakeholder aspirations
Technology Development
*Manage the delivery of technology as outlined in the Technology Plan
Quality Management
* In conjunction with the Quality Manager, oversee all engineering and QA/QC matters ensuring that the facility is designed and built to the relevant specifications, drawings and statutory requirements, that the facility satisfies Stakeholder expectations and that all technical, quality, and HSSE issues are properly and efficiently resolved
*Ensure the Contractor implements QA/QC strategies appropriate to criticality ratings on the site, providing technical endorsement where necessary
*Monitor the Contractor implementation and administration of Inspection and Test Plans and the compilation of construction inspection and acceptance documentation and records
*Liaise closely with the Quality Manager on all site engineering and QA/QC matters, ensuring that field technical queries, non-conformances, concession requests etc. are properly resolved
Process Safety Management
*Develop and implement the Project Integrity Management Plan in collaboration with related disciplines
Project Management & Execution
Interface Management
*Oversee technical interfaces within the engineering team and between the engineering team and Contractors
*Support the Delivery Managers in assuring the quality and timely issue of engineering deliverables
Management of Change
*Manage changes to the project scope (as stated in the SoR, BoD and FEED packages)
*Monitor the Contractors resolution of Design Change Requests, Company Change requests, Technical Queries, Non-Conformances and Concession Requests and ensure that design changes, deviations and concessions are managed correctly and properly resolved within the Project Team
Project Services
*Coordinate with the Planning Engineer to ensure the Project plans and schedules accurately reflect the status of the engineering activities
HSSE
*Ensure that suitably trained and qualified personnel are available to implement the relevant engineering sections of the HSSE Management Plan
*Ensure that engineering facilities and locations are in compliance with the HSSE goals of the project
*Manage the establishment, timely completion and administration of the project Safety and Design Reviews (e.g. pHSSEr etc.) and subsequently drive the close out of actions and the evaluate/implement of recommendations
Procurement Management
*Provide engineering representation during bid evaluation, vendor discussions etc., and provide technical endorsement of vendor selection where necessary
Commissioning & Operational Readiness
*Assist in the implementation and administration of the punch listing and Handover strategies and work with the Completions Team and Commissioning Manager to ensure smooth handover of the facilities at Mechanical Completion
*Provide general engineering support to the Completions Team and ensure punch-listing and pre-commissioning activities are closed out effectively
Organizational Capability
*Plan and acquire resource for the engineering team
*Set clear lines of delegated authority and accountability from the Project Manager to individual members of the engineering team and to individual contractors for every engineering workface and deliverable
*Develop and coach people within the engineering team for the overall benefit of the Stakeholders and the individual
*Maintain the Technical Authority lists
Knowledge Management
*Ensure that data management systems function effectively and
that data is being compiled correctly
