Hi Dear Alisa
I am realy intrested about underground gasification technology and your company activities. it would be my pleasure if could be in touch more and share someinformation.
Would you like to give some information about yourself - current projects, background, education, ambitions, what you are looking for (if anything) and so on?
I graduated in Chemical Engineering (BSc) and Energy Engineering (MSc) and start research about CCS during my MSc Course and finished my MSc in carbon dioxide capturing .I have been in energy industries for 10 years :3 years as news agency editor in chief,3 yeasr as procces engineer in general contractor,4 years in coumsulatnt company as procces designer, senior engineer and project manager .in last two years i leaded CCS project in my company as R&D project and was in touch with diferent stock holder same as national iranian oil company, environment organization,Energy ministry in Iran.recently we got some contract with environment organisation and National iranian oil company and i work as manager of these projects. In fact CCS is in first steps in iran and i tried to introduce benefits of CCS project to iranian stockholders but i hope and i am sure that CCS started in Iran now (R&D)and going to be started in performance and instalation too.As a matter of fact we would like, if there is mutual agreement, to develop joint partnerships in technological terms with other groups in developing such projects in larger scales in Iran and the CDM region for which Iran holds the permanent regional chairing position.
What is the role of your company?
Power company, oil and gas, research
Would you like to let us know your age range?
26-35
How long before 25% of power stations worldwide have carbon capture?
16-20 years
Do you think CCS will always need to be subsidised by government?
Hi Amir- I put together programs in the energy industry and produced an event last year on carbon capture and storage (which we will be doing again this year). I am currently looking for a keynote speaker for an April conference on CO2-EOR in Houston, Texas. Several contacts I have are interested in hearing about projects abroad- particular in the Middle East. If you are directly involved in these projects or have any recommendations that would be great. You can contact me at e.doten@gmail.com or my mobile: 1-914-489-0884. Thank you!
Hey- got your message - can you email me the number- tough to hear with cell reception - e.doten@gmail.com. When is good to call you tomorrow? I am on east coast. Thanks so much for getting back to me!
Hi Amir- please let me know if you got the email- sent it right after we spoke yesterday, however I sent with an attachment and I know from experience with gmail it may have gone right to your spam folder. Should have come from my work account e.doten@americanconference.com Please give me a call at work 1-212-352-3220, ext 231 with status. Thanks!
Dear Amir
Thank yu very much for your warm message. Yes I am Iranian and now I am living in Canada. Here much more my research area is concentrated on un conventional oil resources, such as oil sands extraction. During this process massive amount of CO2 releases to atmosphere. Right now Canadian government investing huge money on this subject, but still there is long way to go.
We will have more detail discussions on this subject.
I wish you sucess and glories in your research and ativities.
Warm Regards

Hi Amir
I work for BP Alternative Energy. Currently I'm in a team involved in the UK govt competition for capital funding for transport & storage of CO2. I'm a geologist by training. Key thing happening right now is that the one consortium most of us thought would win (EoN coal power@ Kingsnorth to the Tullow-operated Hewett gas field in the Southern North Sea) is in disarray following Tullow's sale of Hewett to ENI who have publically announced a plan to use it as a swing nat. gas storage facility. The govt is due to publish it's first round short-listing of competitors any time now so we wait with baited breath!
We have as TNO experience in CO2 removal and we are developing a new chemical absorption system for CO2 capture, which we are now testing on large scale pilot plant in Rotterdam.
This new solvent has been tested on lab and mini plant scale for different purposes (CO2 removal from flue gases and enviroment control experiments).
In addition to this practical experience we have done a lot of feasibility study and processes benchmarking to help different companies and partners in selecting the right technology for their applications.
if you need more information or you welling to discuss these issues more please feel free to contact me (mohammad.abuzahra@tno.nl, +31622403682).
Hi Amir
I work for Hydrogen Energy International, HEI, a joint venture between BP Alternative Energy & Rio Tinto. I am the lead electrical engineer on the Hydrogen Power Abu Dhabi, HPAD, project, which is the world's first commercial scale project to produce power from hydrogen rich fuel. HPAD is a joint venture between HEI and Masdar, (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company). The feed stock is natural gas, which we decarbonise to produce a hydorgen/nitrogen stream and a CO2 stream. The CO2 is dried, compressed and exported for use in Enhenced Oil Recovery, EOR. The plant will have a net power outpout of about 400MW and will capture about 1.8Mte/yr of C02. Presently in Front End Engineering Design, FEED, with Foster Wheeler in Reading, project sanction is expected in Q3 next year and commercial operation in Q2 2013. It's a very exciting time to be actually involved in the development and design of such a plant, which will hopefully demonstrate that 'GREEN' electrical power can be produced from fosil fuels economically.
Details of the project and HEI can be found on our web site, www.hydrogenenergy.com.
Dear Mr. Amir Mohammad Eslami
Thank you very much for your message, it encouraged us a lot. Our thesis is mainly about parts of Iran which are suitable for underground storage of co2, is it a new subject or not?
I will be happy to hear from you
With best regards
