Dear Dulce Boavida ,

I am writing to you to express my interest and motivation in completing a eight-nine weeks internship during May-July 2009 under your esteemed guidance. My name is Praveen Yadav. I am a IVth year student of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and it stands among the top technical universities in India .

I am interested to work in the research field of Carbon Capture Technology. I have knowledge of pre combustion carbon capture process using selexol as the solvent with stripper configuration in an IGCC power plant. I am currently working on process model development of CO2 capture unit from industrial gases using ASPEN and undertaken my Masters thesis project on Process dynamics and control of CO2 removal unit. I am thorough with the knowledge of software like MATLAB , ASPEN, LINDO/LINGO and well experienced with laboratory work.

I am confident that I will be an active, open minded and useful member to your team, willing to contribute during my internship. I am therefore very excited in becoming an intern in your work group and pursue my research interests. It will be a fruitful and enriching experience for both of us and will help me in my further studies later on.
