Simultaneous absoption of SO2 and CC from flue gases in a single scrubber!!!

It should be possible to capture CO2 applying MEA process downstream of a FGD plant if this FGD technology can absorbe SO2 less than30mg/Nm³ in the clean gas.See More

Profile Information

What company are you currently employed by / studying with?
Retired
What is your job title or role?
Consultant (Fluegasdesulphurization of Power Plants)
What is your main geographic location?
Dinslaken
Would you like to give some information about yourself - current projects, background, education, ambitions, what you are looking for (if anything) and so on?
I am inventor of FGD process using acqueous ammonia. In a pilot plant we demonstrated that SO2 from thermal power plants can be absorbed nearly to 0mg/Nm³ in the clean gas. A must to apply Amine (MEA) process for CC. I am following two projects, one in India and one pilot plant in Brazil using my FGD technology. I worked as Product Manger in a German wellknown International Engineering Company. I am Engineer (Dipl.-Ing. University (TH) of Aachen/Germany). My ambition is to demonstrate in a single scrubber that DeSOx and CC is possible. I am looking for Sources/Persons who are interested to exchange their experience with me.
What is the role of your company?
consulting
Would you like to let us know your age range?
over 65
How long before 25% of power stations worldwide have carbon capture?
16-20 years
Do you think CCS will always need to be subsidised by government?
No but there will need to be a high carbon price
